The '96 stumpjumper has new shoes!

After almost 11 years, my '96 StumpJumper has new shoes! Oh and a new handlebar. It was time to get a new Wheelset (Rims and Hubs and spokes) because the old ones were just that, they were too old. (the new tires were something I wanted to do since I liked the Kenda Nevegals so much, even more then Panaracer Fire XC.

    Here is a close up

These wheels are so monster, they are a custom build I did at Lester's friend's bike shop -Atomic Bikes in Whitter.

Too bad my front suspension/fork (Rock Shox Sid) took a dump on me this week on the StumpJumper. The Rock Shox Sid was given to me as a gift a few years back so to get a new shock, well to get the exact same shock will cost $600. So it's in the shop for repair, which is much much much less only 160 bucks and they are replacing those dreaded propritary rock shox valves to the regular schrader valves.

So it looks like tomorrow I will be riding the Specialized '03 Enduro, my full suspension bike.
