    661 k.Strait kneepad ?

I asked this in the Clyde's forum but never received a response so thought I'd try here:

I'm looking into knee pads, specifially the 661 Kyle Strait's. 661's site says the top opening is 18" but I'm a couple inches larger so is there anyone else who has them & know if they'll stretch easily without being too loose? Or is there larger alternative brands anyone would recommend in XL? I mainly want them for riding places I'm unfamiliar with.

I emailed Rockgardn about their EVO kneepads but no response. Their site didn't have the size opening of the top of the kneepad on the site. I'm guessing it's probably 18"..

I'm 19" at the upper leg opening, and have the XL. I think they are too big, and wish I had gone for the Large.

I wash mine in the machine after every ride (which you're probably not supposed to do) and the neoprene is falling apart after less than a year. They are also knee ovens in weather above 55 degrees.

    OTOH, they are very comfortable.

Thanks, I may order them or just wait till next summer to see if I lose more weight. I'm in TX so already knew they'd be HOT. I'd only use them when I go to new trails as precaution.

I bought both in L and XL , the L seem VERY tight as in i dont even need to use the straps, and the XL felt tight too but i can use the straps and still not feel like im cutting my circulation off. Being that we bike our legs will always stay big and muscular , regardless of loosing weight .
