    5.10 spds and crankbother pedals?

I've moved to a place where I ride a lot of rock and the soles of my shoes are just not ideal for traction... Thinking about trying a pair of 5.10 spd minnars. I've heard they are a little funny with the crank brother mallet pedals. Anyone have any experience?

greg minaar uses mallets, so do most of the downhills that clip in, since its his shoe i dont see why they would have problems.

Pro Bike: Greg Minnaar's Santa Cruz Syndicate V-10.4 Carbon - BikeRadar
he seems to have minimal pin height on the pedals

    Now that's an excellent point

OP how do you like your Minaar so far.

Havn't bought them, but I now think that mallet/minnar combo will be just the ticket for Moab

Minnaar and Mallet does not work for me

Hi Everyone, I know this is an old post, however I was hoping more people to give their opinion re the subject. I have 2011 mallets on my bike and since I bought them I only have used them with Minnaar 2011. My experience with this combination is:

Clip in: just ok, gets harder at times
Clip out: Very hard, even dangerous at times, various near misses

It would be great to hear some other peoples experiences. I am considering not using Minnaar with Mallets anymore.

    Cheers
