5.10 '16 Maltese Falcon vs Kestrel Lace

Does anyone have experience with these. I'm currently using 5.10 Freeriders on flats and Giro Carbides on Clipless. I'd like ot pair a new set of shoes to some HT T1/X1s or Crankbrothers Mallet Enduros.

I've been using kestrel lace + mallet enduro for a couple of months and love it!

Stiff sole, the cleat slot is very deep making a solid interface with the pedal! just a couple of months maybe 100mi, some hiking still no sign of early wear in the rubber!

I tried the maltese and hellcat also, the kestrel lace is just a nicer shoe in general!

How is the Kestrel Lace in the heat? Summers in AL can be oppressive.

rode with them probably up to 90F, and my arms and torso were much hotter than my feet which actually didn't even crossed my mind during the ride, so I think that's good!

Definitely not the coolest shoe to be riding at 115F all day, it has a mesh tongue and perforated upper that's the only place it's going to vent.
