New question here. 3 brands of shoes the same shoe?

Been looking around for some new shoes. Although my shoes look new ('01 Specialized Comp), they smell as though they were dunked in a swamp and cooked at low temperature for 3 days. Anyway, I digress.

I started looking for shoes in the normal online places. Supergo, Pricepoint, Jenson, Nashbar, Performance, etc. What I found was that Answer is marketing a shoe as the XC-1 that Sette is marketing as the Element and Exustar SM311 has the same sole as both. I was surprised that Answer was participating in this, but it's interesting none the less. The Sette is the best looking out of the bunch. Does anyone have any experience with this shoe?

Pay special attention to the uppers on the Sette and Answer. The are identical. It looks like the Exustar is last years' Answer XC-1.

    01 Comps?

I am looking for my first pair of clipless shoes and on ebay they have new in the box 2001 Specialized Comp for $25 and new in the box Northwave Elite for $25. Both have gotten good reviews on here but was wondering how you liked your Comps and if you know of any big upgrades to the present years model.
    Thanks!
