Bonking ... not feelin' well 2005 Bell/Giro helmet rant

This year both the Bellistic and the Giro Mad Max have changed thier buckles to the standard plastic bike helmet clip instead of the old tried and true D rings of old.

    Anyone else think this sucks?

The Mad Max has been my helmet of choice for 4 years now, I've just busted my second and I'm shopping for a new one. I've been using DOT approved full face helmets smowmobiling since forever and have always enjoyed the D ring system. I know that both helmets are cheaper than ever this year but that should be no excuse. I can't stand the way the new Giro attaches and I don't plan on buying one.

you dont know Bg, he's picky . Besides not all helmet brands feel good for all head sizes. The Bells dont fit me very well, the Full Bravos do. Bg carries 661s so i think he knows about em...

the major difference is a D-ring is stronger, but also theres no plastic clip to dig into your neck, and its easily adjustable (each time you put it on your basically adjusting the fit).
