    Raleigh Tokul 4130

Hey guys! I am interested in a Raleigh Tokul 4130, and would like your thoughts. 2015 model in specific, but I'd love to hear from anyone who owns/has ridden one. Some questions would be: 1x10 enough, how are the forks (I've never ridden a Fox Float), and how has the durability been. I'm 15 years old, 5'8", and around 130lbs. Serious biker, like to ride daily. Will use this for mostly trails, jumping, and maybe some CX. Here's the specific bike. Raleigh Bikes - 2015 Tokul 4130

Thanks in advance for any help!

I liked my 2014. It had a great feel while riding. Fork is great, 1x10 is great. But the frame broke and Raleigh pooched on the warranty. My opinion, if you care about warranty service don't go with Raleigh.

That said, you are a lot lighter than me... you might never need a frame warranty. Good luck -

I was gonna stop by and see you, but the Jehovas witnesses came by. When they left I started drinking. Voicemail from Paul

I would not buy one if you want to upgrade, the frame has a straight 1/8 steerer tube, hard to find forks, I have one of the lower end aluminum ones and it is ok, it is slacker than most at the price range, but I would look harder before I bought another, a transam or similar.

Only reason to get a steel bike is because you're a hipster. But if you must "curate" a steel bike, here's a good one that should fit your needs.

If you can't afford both the frame and the parts, buy a cheap donor bike and move the parts to this when you can.
