    New YT Capra

You guys ready for this? It's one of the most amazing bikes I've ever seen. Geometry, design, options, price is one the most compelling packages I've EVER seen.

From the article: "Geometry Our focus in the development process has always been to create the perfect weight distribution and optimum rider position." Who wrote this? The "author" of the article or YT marketing? The whole article seemed so far on the gushing side of things it made me wonder if YT didn't hand over a bunch of talking points.

Not trying to be contration, but I don't see what's so groundbreaking about this. It looks like every other enduro bike on the market currently, with the same mix of parts everyone else has. Prices are still lower than non-direct sales (though prices have increased across the board). It also still uses a press fit BB, and can't manage to fit a single water bottle.

This is mostly a news release, delivering information about the bike. I have riding impressions coming in another story tonight as I got to ride it for 3 days of pedaling and shuttles.

It's really noteworthy in my opinion. Two wheel sizes, two travel options 5 price points and 7 good color options.

65/75 geometry, 170mm 29er, seat tube so low can fit long droppers, carbon wheels, $5200 and under 30 lbs. Can be had too for $2500. And it's a respectable brand.

    That's pretty good right?

A 170mm 65 degree HA 29er? At that price point? Who else has that going right now?

YT (any of their models) are a great deal for the price if you know what you are looking for regarding geometry and have half a clue about bike maintenance and set-up. The new Capra doesn't do anything for me (and I ride a long travel 29er) for a few reasons. I don't like FSR suspensions; never have and still do not. The effective top tubes on these are short while their wheelbases are huge. A couple of bikes I've ridden with similar geometry I had to size up and they turned like tugboats. I am not a fan of Shimano drivetrains and that's all you can get here. Pressfit bottom brackets and no water bottle mount; meh.

Got really excited when I saw this being released, its on the top of the want list

    1) YT CApra
    2) Spec Enduro
    3) Devinci Troy

For my wants/needs- YT fits and exceeds the bill at my price point...

Not trying to be contration (or covfefe), but for me a bike needs only come in one wheel size, one travel, 1 price point and 1 colorway, the one I want.
    Do the math.

I canít get into the FSR.

Most amazing bike... with and 18 year old suspension design. Not to say it is bad. Just not worth the press.

Bike prices are high because people are willing to pay those high prices. Nothing more. It is nice to see direct sales get into market.

I would rather have a bike with a DW-Link, delta link, switch infinity, etc.
