Has Salsa resolved their frames issues? Other bike suggestions with comparable specs?

I'm super interested in buying a Salsa Pony Rustler. I like the geometry, I like the 27.5+ wheels, after reading a bunch of forums and reviews it looks like they have major issues with their frames? Does anyone know if this has been resolved? I don't want to invest a bunch of money into a bike that I'm going to have a fix all the time.

I ride mostly in Salt Lake City/ Park City Utah area so all mountain trails, but I love slick rock technical trails and I try to get down to the desert a bunch to ride.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for a bike that has comparable specs that isn't too outrageous in price? I'm trying to stay around $3500 to $4200.

Here's an extremely nice bike that fits your price range and doesn't have any issues:

Ooh, I never even thought to look at Guerilla. I have a friend from Colorado that rides one and loves it.
    Thanks for the find!

Back in fall Ď16 I was going to pull the trigger on a Pony Rustler but Salsa was out of frames so I waited and waited, finally got tired of waiting so in February Ď17 I got a GG Trail Pistol. SO glad I did! Nothing against the Pony Rustler ó Iíve never even ridden one and Iím sure itís a terrific bike ó but man I love the Pistol. It truly taught me to fly (even though I thought I already knew how to fly).
