    funny noise in FOX 36

I just serviced the lowers of my fox van 36 (changed oils, replaced seals, foam rings) and the fork felt buttery smooth. However, when I compress and release it fast (the push action before a bunny hop) It makes a "woosh" sound as If It is sucking air. It happend before the service as well. Fork ais plush and everything else works great.

Just wondering, is this normal guys?
    cheers

So I was waiting for someone more knowledgeable than me to reply, but since no one seems forthcoming, I'll give you my take. I've owned a Fox 36 fit4 for about 2 years, and I've serviced it several times. Mine seems pretty silent. A whooshing sound could indicate an issue with your damper, though it might not be too serious. The fit4 damper has a bladder that can tear, and/or it is possible that your damper needs to be bled.

That said, sometimes air moving between the positive and negative chamber can make noise, and sometimed oil sloshing around can make noise, but these should be very quiet and barely noticeable in my experience.

The long and the short of it is, at some point, you should probably have your damper serviced. It's probably not something that is an immediate need, especially if you discern no performance degradation. But at some point you might want to have it looked at.
