New question here. Flat Bar vs Riser Bar on New Fork

Getting a new fork. I'm tall, and I need a lot of stack height. I've never had a flat bar and have always had to use a combo of riser stems and bars. Now I finally have a bike with enough reach I can put a short stem on. For my new fork, would it be better to use a flat bar with spacers since I can cut the steerer whatever length I want? Is that better than a riser bar?

Because the steerer is angled back towards you, the more spacers you use under the stem the more it reduces the effective reach. A tall riser bar won't have that problem because the rise is purely vertical and you can adjust the tilt
