Canyon Lux vs SC Tallboy in Michigan

Looking to move beyond my fat bike. I ride strictly in Michigan on singletrack. Lots of small hills and small drops over tree roots, rocks, etc... Iím really intrigued by the low weight and price of the Lux. I donít know anyone who owns a Canyon. Everyone riding SC seems very happy. Thoughts from the group?

My Wo will continue to be my ride for snow.

You can also look at the 2019 Scott Spark models that come with 2.6 tires/wide rims. Probably have to go to a shop to see the dealer info sheet right now.
And a hardtail with room for 2.6 would be fine for MI terrain. Cheaper, lighter per $ and easier to maintain.
A Timberjack ti frame build with a Manitou Mattoc Pro IRT fork and CarbonFan rim wheels would be an option I'd look at.
