    Winter Camping

I am looking for winter camping options accessible by bike from Anchorage or accessible with a reasonable drive then bike. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Eklutna is always a good option.

Hatcher Pass has some neat spots that you can bike back into. Right in the middle between the gates there is a really cool mining road at the switchbacks that is a one-way in and out but has a spectacular spot at the top for camping. Also, Goldmint trail would be fun to check out although it could involve a bit of hike a bike.

Nancy Lakes gives you access to the entire Susitna river area. Endless opportunities there. We camped out last winter. I'd like to do some more. You can do trips up the rivers to lodges and come back too, so you can kind of mix it up.
