When It's Spring Time In Alaska It's 4 Point Oh!

Today six riders, not interested in seeing the end to winter, headed up the Resurrection Trail starting at the Bean Creek Trailhead. All were riding Fat Bikes with Endo's 4.0. Ben Ball, Janice Tower, Ted Cahalane, Joe Pollock, Leonard Fancher and Tim Kelly cruised on the groomed and perfectly hard packed trail up to the lower portions of Devils Pass.

With sunny blue skies most of the day and grins from ear to ear, which lasted for nearly four hours, it was tough to return to the parking lot and head back to Anchorage. A few factors caused us to to return early, a) Janice didn't want to miss the NASCAR event on TV, b) Joe needed to check his beer belly for alzhiemers and dementia, c) Tim needed to catch up on old SpongeBob SquarePants reruns and d) Leonard needed to get a couple cans of Rust-Oleum at Home Depot to do some touch up on his bike

It was such a premium ride that I just might quit riding Resurrection in summer and just do it in winter. To put it mildly, it was a no holds barred Fat Tire Freakout Festival. Make note of all the smiling happy faces in the photos attached.

Note to Manny --> Dude! we missed you terribly. We all wished your daughter a Happy Birthday. And, we decided that since you couldn't make this weekends ride it's your call on what spectacular vista we should explore next weekend. Winter isn't over in the mountains yet.

You're going to be the only person in Fort Collins with a fatback and spongebob shorts.

    Nice pics.
