Trail Training Workshop at Crevasse Moraine

What a scam, you pay us money AND build our new trail for us! Ha, brilliant plan But seriously, Valley Mountain Bikers and Hikers are holding a training day on sustainable trail design and construction. It should look good on your resume.

Wildfire, good call with your last point--criticizing previously built trails. I managed to convince my adviser to let me do an Independent Study on Trail Erosion, Construction, & Mitigation and I found the easiest way (during my presentation) to teach these points was to look at previously constructed trails, pointing out strengths and weaknesses, and what should be done in the future--also worked for new people to our trail maintenance days back on the East Coast.

Not trying to sound like a pompous know-it-all, but seems like that's a pretty good program--even more so by being able to criticize your own work.
    waaahoooooooooooooooooo

Calvin : Ahhh, another bowl of Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs! The second bowl is always the best! The pleasure of my first bowl is diminished by the anticipation of future bowls and by the end of my third bowl, I usually feel sick.
Hobbes : Maybe you shouldn't use chocolate milk.
Calvin : I tried Cola, but the bubbles went up my nose.

    Soggy Everything Trail Training Day

Ah yes, 10 dedicated souls showed up to bask in the beautiful liquid sunshine, learn a little something about trails, and move some dirt into artfully shaped objects. Thanks everyone, good job, the trail is looking good. More work days to follow before freeze-up, I'll post 'em here.
