Bonking ... not feelin' well Thursday Trail Report

Trail report from the Thursday night shift: SOFT!!!!! Duhhhhh!!!!!!!! The snow is deep, lightly tracked by snowshoes, skis and foot traffic. The texture is dry and silky. Took me 40 minutes to push from Hilltop to N. Bivouac and back. We'll need a few days of heavy use, followed by a nice cold night to get it to set up.

Reminder to snowbikers who ride the skijoring trails: please help out by a) staying off freshly groomed trails until they set up firm enough to not tear up the surface; b) buying a skijoring pin which helps pay for grooming in the N. Bivouac area: http://www.ptialaska.net/~skijor/form.html
Forms are also available at Pat's Bikes, RTR and Paramount Cycles.

If you don't want to buy a pin, STA will still take your money: www.singletrackadvocates.org (click on "about" and select the membership form). HA! And you thought this was a "trail report!" Seriously folks, we need contributions sent to: STA, PO Box 240574, Anch., AK 99524
