New question here. Snowbike convert to 29er questions

    Hiya all:

What bike/frame is easiest to convert to 29er wheels for summer use?

Advantages/ disadvantages? Is this a solid idea?

    Thanks

the speedway fatback would be the easiest in terms of having a wheel that doesn;t need to be dished heavily. pugsley and wildfirs i believe both use 135mm hubs, so in the sense of availability of hubs they would be easiest. there are several 165mm(fatback) hubas available now though.

    Any Fat Bike

I like the Fatback, too, and it's a helluva deal for Ti. But if you're starting from scratch in getting a snowbike, you'll be building new 29" wheels for summer use anyway, and off-setting the rear wheel isn't that big a deal. None of the snowbikes that I know of will fit a normal 29" wheel on the rear, so no matter which one you get you'll be building a new summer rear wheel, either offset or a 150 or 165mm hub.
So get whichever bike turns you on.

I had a set made for my pugsley and so far I love them.. Due to our sudden return to winter however I will be putting my fattys back on.
