    Cool-blue Rhythm Snow groomers

We need a groomer, so I figured I would ask the experts in snow!

Here in Pennsylvania we don't get "feet" of snow, mostly crusty ice, and snow mixed. Once packed down it is wonderful to ride on. We need to thin it out a bit and pack it down.

I have access to motos with fat tires such as a Honda Fat Cat would that be good to pull a groomer? Reason being a quad makes too wide of a track. Question is design? What do you use?

I'm pretty sure the guys in Anchorage are using old Ski Doo Tundra's. They do make for a bit wider track than is ideal but it beats pulling old tires on snowshoes.

Vintage snow machines have very narrow stances. Another alternative would be one of the little kid size sleds like the arctic cat kitty cat or similar.

Hello from MN! This is a big topic of conversation in the Midwest. the local trail clubs had a conferance about it a few seasons ago. Summary here: Midwest Fatbike Summit and Grooming Seminar Update | FAT-BIKE.COM

At the trail system I work at, we have a motorized snow bike which has wide tires (16" I believe) that was made from an old 3wheeler, converted to a 2 wheel design, and then a weighted pull sled to smooth the trail out.

We have found that a benchcut hillside is still too narrow for even the narrowest snowmachines (snowmobiles for you non-alaskans)

One of these would be pretty ideal. But if you had one you probably wouldn't want to pedal again
