    Ride the Lost Lake Loop!

Busted out the Richter Lost Lake Loop yesterday! Perfect trail conditions; tacky, quiet dirt and that crunch of Hemlock needles w/ just a hint of Spruce. The weather couldn't have been any better. I rode North from the Seward Lost Lake Trailhead on the highway until I got to the Dvivide XC trails pull out. I poked around and managed to find the Iditarod Trail with out too much anxiety. This new singletrack is just spectacular! From Divide to the Primrose Trail, was the best riding I have had this summer. The trail was built by the same outfit that constructed the Upper winner Creek Trail. You can feel some of the similarities, however this alignment really plays with the available terrain well! I hooked up w/ the Primrose Trail and got punished for having so much singletrack fun with that wicked rooty climb. The reward of the traverse across the top was what we all live for with the awesome vistas and sweet trail. The descent down into Seward was equally awesome. Great trail conditions, the Pooschki was not too thick. If you ever wanted to do this loop, now is the time! Go for a ride! Cheers!

Sounds like you rode alone, did you see any bear?
