    Planning Iditabike 2013

I am planning to do the Iditarod by bike in 2013. The 350 mile stretch is my goal. I was wondering if there are packing lists available with the type of stuff to bring, i.e. type of sleeping bag, mattress, shelter, stove, clothes and so on. Your help is much appreciated!

    Gear List

    Susitna 100 - Gear

This is the required gear list for the 100 miler and is a good start for the 350. You may want to use a colder bag just in case.

With this said, if you don't know what to bring to Alaska in winter then maybe you should do the 100 miler first as a shake down for the longer/colder 350.

Check out Unique Alaskan Adventures with Alaskan guides.Guided rafting, backpacking and sea-kayaking. for more winter camping info.

I also recommend reading "To build a Fire" by Jack London

    Good Luck,

Arctic Cycles - Home Page may also be able to set up a couple training rides if Kathi and Bill's schedule doesn't work...
If Huffy made an airplane, would you fly in it?
