The 3rd Annual Mooseberry Stampede will be held Saturday June 12 12:30pm in the Matanuska Greenbelt, starting at the Crevasse-Moraine Trailhead off Palmer-Wasilla Hwy (turn south on Loma Prieta just opposite Curves driveway). Almost 11 miles of mixed trails - twisty, turny single track of the famous Mooseberry Mesa; farm fields with glorious views (just pay attention to where you're going); and single tracks through the lake area of Matanuska Lakes SRA (formerly Kepler-Bradley SRA), plus the wider Long Lake Connector. (or Google "Mooseberry Stampede")

Interested in volunteering, please let me know.

We will have Matanuska Creamery ice cream again for racers and volunteers plus still trying to get some other locally produced post-race food lined up.

We've gotten the metal directional signs up for the farm part of the Matanuska Greenbelt, which this race supports. We're hoping to have more up (state parks and upper part of Crevasse Moraine) by race day. We appreciate the support our racers have been for this project.

Maps of the area are on (or Google "Matanuska Greenbelt")

Also there's a workday for some brushing and minor treadwork on Sunday June 6 starting at CMT at 10am. Celebrate National Trails Day Weekend.
