    Like Buttah . . .

Just rode the new single track which comes off the gasline just below Prospect. It is simply phenomenal - fast, flowing, fun, challenging to go fast on and fun to go slow. Can't wait to take the kids on it. Truly, the design and implementation are both just fantastic and professional. These trails will add a whole new dimension to the trail system. Frankly, I was a bit skeptical after looking the maps, but one ride changed that. Kudos to those at STA that had the vision and made it happen. Wahoo. Donation to follow . . .

    Glad you like it!

It's starting to look like a real trail with the YEP Crew (Youth Employment in Parks) out there working hard to add the finishing touches.

The tread is still pretty soft, though, so we are asking folks to not ride it until we can pack it in better. It will hold up for the long run if we can be patient with the process. We'll put some tape up to indicate that it's still under construction. We should have done this days ago--so sorry you didn't know.

With this rain it is especially important not to create ruts in the soft soil and mud--don't want to undo what the kids have been working hard to create.

    Thanks!

QB - thanks for the clarifying the trail status. The tread was pretty firm this afternoon, but now must be turning to mush. Putting up tape is a good idea - the upper entrance was open with a sign & map. The lower exit onto gasline had tape which I assumed was to keep folks from going backwards.
