I need Alaskan's opinions of value...

I posted this in the Specialized forum, but I know prices differ in Alaska. Let me know what you guys think this is worth, and a good selling price. About 30% of the parts are used and I have a little over a grand in the bike putting it together in Arizona.

    ---------------

What's up everyone? I'm going to be buying a new stumpy here soon, and I'll be putting my bike up for sale and I'm looking for a no BS price without asking too much. It's a Hardrock, but it's slightly modified.

    Here's the mod list:

    1 - '06 Hardrock black frame
2 - Rock Shox Reba SL fork
    3 - F/R Avid BB7
    4 - Avid SD7 Levers
5 - RaceFace XC seat post
6 - RaceFace XC SL stem
7 - Specialized XC Flat bar
    8 - Crane Creek S-3 Headset
    9 - Bontranger RL saddle
    10 - Truvativ FireX crankset/singled w/ external GXP BB
    11 - MRP 1.1 Chainguide
12 - Welgo shin grater pedals
    13 - WTB Speedisc rims
    14 - ODI Lock-On Black Grips

I think that's it. I'm ording the Stumpjumper EVO 29er in a month, and I might swap/steal the stem and seat post so that might change the price a little. I'm living in Kodiak, AK and bikes are needed and hard to come by here. But I'm not trying to rape anyone, and just want to try to recoup some of the money I have in it. Let me know what you guys think.

I wouldn't expect much.. I would turn it into a single speed and save your cash for the 29-er! Just because you're in Kodiak and bikes are "hard to come by" doesn't mean someone will buy a 5 year old bike for much, maybe $300.

I would agree with mountainbikeak, keep it as a spare. I seem to break/upgrade new bikes until they fit my preferences. It sucks to not have something to ride when your bikes in the shop.

Every time I've sold a bike I always regret it. Just my opinion.

Thanks for the input, guys. I agree with the idea of keeping it as a spare, and going SS on it is a good idea.

Give it a shot on CL. My 2001 Giant NRS went in less than a day for the full asking price of $450
