    Gold Mint Trail Improvements

Come on and check out all the new work that got done over the last month by two Student Conservation Association trail crews: new puncheon boardwalks, lots of drain dips to get the water off the trail, a new turnpike section, brushing, and three reroutes around boggy or eroded sections. Most of the work was from mile .5 to mile 2. The crews did a great job and had a good time. The first pic is a "before" photo of the old plankwalk that was getting pretty decrepid.

Thanks for all your work! We rode the trail on the 4th and were impressed with all you've done. Also super excited about the new loop on Moose Berry Mesa - seems to be getting close to being complete. Any work days coming up?

Come back and try it again, a bunch more has gotten done since the 4th. Valley Mountain Bikers and Hikers had a work day this last Saturday at Mooseberry Mesa and we figure another two work days and we'll have the brand spankin' new loop all done. I'll try and post future workdays on this forum. Everybody's super busy during the summer months but we usually get a lot of trail work done in the fall before freeze-up.
