Caution; Merge; Workers Ahead! Frigid Bits:White Night #1

The second Frigid Bits ride at your own pace gathering will take place on the last Saturday of November.
The ride will take place on November 26th at 7:30 and at 8 PM; meet at the parking lot outside of the entrance to the Hill Top ski area. Please show up around 7:45 to sign up for the “Quickie” ride. There will be the Quickies and the Spin and Grins. The Spin and Grin congregation will be lead into the darkness by the Reverend Kahuna Karma. This ride will depart around 7:30 and the route will be the choice of the Rev. This group is for those who have the fitness to ride at least one hour and have the basic knowledge of snow biking. Do not bring a bike if it is not functioning properly or has flat tires. Get this crap done before you come to get some awesome night riding fun! Fat Tire bikes are encourage, skinnies not so much!
The “Quickies” will ride from the parking lot up the multi-use trail to Brown Bear, ride down BB to Black Bear turn right on Black Bear to Moose Meadows to Rovers to North Bivwack, cross Campbell Airstrip Rd. to South Bivwack and ride down the Tank Trail about a mile or so to the Moose Ridge Trail, ride the 4.5 mile Moose Ridge Trail back to the North Bivwack parking lot. Then cross the road and make it back over to Rovers, ride the entire length of Rovers, turn left on View Point, ride View Point to the Moose Meadows and ride this trail to the SpeedWay Trail Junction, ride Speedway to the Tour Trail turn left and then ride the multi-use trails back to the parking lot where you started.
Requirements; a working headlamp that can work for about 2 hours and of course helmets this is a fun ride with safety first ,so come on out and join the fat tire snow rollers.
As usual, bring adult beverages to share during and after the ride some folks actually will bring food to share after the ride!
Oh, yea, plastic overflow is present on Rover's; well learn to figure a route around it.

Sounds fun, you can count us in. Now I just have to see if I can talk Vas into the "Quickie" (ride that is).

Well, 11 very hardy riders showed up to ride the recreational ride last night, the 11 included 2 women who were absolutely awesome !

Five riders showed up to ride a modified route that excluded the outgoing Brown Bear/Rover's segment. The route was approximately 11 1/2 miles long. The first 2 riders, Tom and George made it back in 84 minutes.

The conditions were rather harsh at temps that ranged from -14 to -16 degrees! I would like to thank all those who rode last night and your support of each other and to Frigid Bits !!! !!!

Thanks for putting together a fun ride, Rio. Hard to believe that the beers were freezing before we could finish them. Good reminder to have a change of clothes ready at the car when the ride is done.

Thanks Rio, Vas and I had a really good time. Great ride and even better company. The Spin and Grin riders were out longer then the Quickies and we only lost 2 or 3 people. Not too bad!
