Caution; Merge; Workers Ahead! Frigid Bits: Drool out ! Long live NOI !

NOI ? Hmm ... NOI ='s Nads on Ice !

The ice on Goose lake is now thick enough to ride on, so this Saturday will be our first ride at your own pace Ice crit ! The course will be slightly modified from last year in that the WFO sections will be just that and the short and curlies will be fewer but more complex and challenging. The course maybe less than a mile so perhaps a 10 lapper!

I hope to have the course defined by 4PM Saturday, so if you feel like bringing over a snow blower and joining me sling some snow come on over ! I plan to be on the lake around 10 AM.

    Where: Goose Lake !
    When: December 8th
    Time : Sign up: 6:30 - 6:50
    Riders meeting: 6:55
    Ride : 7 PM
Rookies; 4 laps everyone else does the dime !
Helmets and lights are required, Malox optional

Laps on the lake?! That'll be just like old times from the inaugural F.B. season!

I'm starting a petition to demand a return appearance by Elmo.

Calvin : I tried Cola, but the bubbles went up my nose.

Prior to the race, anyone who would like to listen, watch and learn, I'll be willing to reveal the secrets of my patented NOH (Nads On Handlebars) Cornering Technique.

I'd rather be slow than to ever let my Nads and handlebar meet!

Looks like I won't be able to make this NOI event

Turns out my S.O. thinks company Christmas parties are more important, and well, where I come from, it didn't care unless you went or not--let alone, even when you're the one that's NOT working for the company. So, saving this board lines and lines of more ranting about this Christmas party, looks like I'll suffer through the night and not get my Frigid Nads, not so frigid.

With that said, is there anyone else who can't make it that wouldn't mind doing some laps on this ice course? You know, to break it in for ye lucky people who get to actually RIDE IN THE EVENT.

Oh, you didn't hear? Just tell her that the party has been moved to the scenic Paddle Boat Cafe overlooking placid Goose Lake. Quite the little gathering. There was a pretty good party going on in there 2 weeks ago.

Wooohoo, through my sheer ability to change opinions, I was told that I would be too grumpy at aforementioned party, so it's back to the NOI for me!!!

    See everyone there!

    Frigid Bits: NOI !

These ride are ride at you own pace rides. This Saturday's nite ride is on the ice on Goose Lake. The course is usually designed to look like a miniature F1 course, complex turns and long WFO ( fast ) sections that are sustained curves or long tangents.
The course is very close to a mile long, tires with studs are the logical choice and helmets are required. The NOI will be a 10 lapper for the fit dawgs and a 4 lapper for rookies.
Yes these are no fee rides. Please be prepared for a fun night and have warm clothes for post ride BS sessions.

I'm quite sure that WFO is Wide Frickin' Open. Don't be intimidated by the crazy hammerheads. About half the humans that show up for the Frigid bits are out just for the fun, which is number 1. The other half aren't, human that is.
