It always amazes me at how fast those atv trails out there dry out. My earliest season day long trail rides always start with the Permanente.

Are you getting soft Rick? Last year you posted some early season Kings River pics only you were riding an old steel framed bike w/ a 70mm fork. Now look at you on that fancy Turner with all of that travel.

Oh well, I guess even the Mona Lisa is falling apart.

Bones, I was jones'en to get out on the Spot since I'd only got to ride it one time last fall before I put it into hibernation. The bike I was on last spring was my old Ibis Ti Mojo, I just haven't dug it out yet. Besides I didn't want to bore Leonard with some old mundane Ti tubed hardtail..... Don't tell anybody but I got a lift to the top with these quad guys so I could bomb the downhill on my 65mm fork, besides, they had lots of beer and Slim Jim meat snacks to share as well, YUM ! Got to shoot their guns too ... empty beer bottles make great targets !

They are out on the Glenn highway. I think the Permanente road is about mile 70 but I am not certain. King's/Youngs River is before the Permanente (about 15 miles out of Palmer??)

Check out this link for early season Glenn Highway fun:
