    Epic Adventure

    Years ago I was inspired by a Roman Dial story in Nat Geo I think. I loved the idea, but my first water crossing in my own version of a pack raft - downgraded to "heck-biking", resulted in a flat raft and a swim to shore. Another lesson, a day or two later: bike tires will float a bike, but they will also pull you downstream. Great to see my original, and a couple of my other inspirations ( heroes) getting together for an Epic ride.
