    Crust Conditions

Does anyone have any data on crust conditions (specifically down near Portage/Skookum area)? It looks like the weather has been helping it set up and with some warmer temps/snow/rain in the forecast for early next week I was thinking it might be worth the trip prior to the weather change. Thanks in advance!

    Well... since nobody is replying...
I took a little dip in Portage Lake yesterday. The ride was good... just stay away from the ice calves.

Kat, I think I saw your post on the cross country alaska site. I bet that got your adrenaline flowing. I was able to ride out to both Skookum and Spencer glaciers last weekend. Conditions were decent/good. I am hoping the conditions set up for Turnagain Pass as that can be some epic riding. With these colder night temps, even the local riding is holding up.
