Two brown bears on the gasline trail from Janice's Jive this morning at about 8:45am. They were in a low spot after coming up the steepest part of the gasline where you take a couple little dips. One stood up as I crested the first dip, there was no way I could have known they were there until I was practically on top of them! They seemed curious and I didn't feel threatened-the bear bell did its job!! I turned around and went back to the sign at the top of Janice's Jive where I stopped and looked back-one of the bears had followed me to the top of the gasline hill and was standing at the top of the hill watching.......

Glad there was no incident. Early morning and late night riding solo is sketch in the summer man. Ballsy even. Thanks for the heads up.
