    Apparently nobody rides anymore

    Apparently nobody rides anymore
We rode Carlos's Bon Ton this weekend and there more women from Palmer than there were riders from Anchorage. If we don't start showing up for these rides (Soggy Bottom) they won't be around anymore and everybody will be sayling boy I really wanted to do that. So make the time and come ride.... you missed a great weekend of drinking and riding.

    Actually,

the riders were force fed miles of cow-parsnip and then the beer !

He's not kidding about that either. The parsnip was so high in the pass that I ended up eating some on a couple of occasions. I was curious to see if it causes the same unpleasant effects on the inside as on the outside. I can say that the leafy greens go well with a cold IPA and I have suffered no adverse effects yet.

I think I still have some of that cow parsnip hanging on my "cow" horn handle bars. It reminded me of playing hide n' seek in my uncles corn field as a kid. Just as you couldn't find anybody unless you saw them lined up in the row, so it was with trying to find the trail. The weeds were all at least head high and absolutely could not see the trail unless it was a straight section and you were lined up with it. It was pretty tough for my first time over, but it was fun.
