Alaska Trails and Kenai Mountains-Turnagain Arm National Heritage Area are bringing trail guru Mike Shields to Girdwood on September 19, 9-3:30, for trail maintenance training and hands-on work fixing up the Beaver Pond Trail.

Lunch and tools are provided, please dress for the field. Meet at 9 a.m. at the Chugach National Forest Glacier Ranger District Office (145 Forest Station Road) for the morning classroom session. Limited registration, please email: [email protected].

We are working on building up a local Kenai trails volunteer crew, but no long-term commitment is required to attend this fall's fun & muddy event.

Thanks for checking it out!
