Planning on myself + 1. I've planned on making it every year though and only managed twice so far, so we'll see.

Hatcher's Pass??? Is that the one at the head of Cook's Inlet north of Eagle's River off Palmer's Fishhook Road? I'm down + 1. We'll be dressed as the Place Name Police.:{)>

I'm planing on attending, though a lot will depend on my wife's work schedule which is frustrating to say the least. I will confirm as soon as I can.

***THE RIDE IS PRETTY MUCH FULL AT 17 RIDERS****
It is great to see such a large interest in this ride, but my cabin is just a wee one at 16X16 so fitting more folks is pretty much not possible.
I have rented a 15 passenger van, and the trailer maxes out at about 12 bikes or so, I have another rig with a 3 bike rack so I can do the current roster. If you really want to come please PM me and maybe we can find some creative solution. But for now I need to cap it.
    Sorry to disappoint anyone.

I have a one-ton 4 x4 dually truck with a 12 foot enclosed box (hey, when in the valley...) if that will help you out. Could drop in Willow beforehand, do sag detail along the highway, and haul bikes and a passenger or two back up to the pass afterward.

Sorry FrankM but I have to cancel, new family events trump a day of epic riding over Hatcher Pass! Please give my spot to someone else...there's always next year right?

My +1 just cancelled as well. I guess it might be easier now that everybody light fit in the same shuttle. I'll be there. So excited !

    ***LAST MINUTE DETAILS***

Start is at 10 AM Independence Mine Parking Area at Hatcher Pass.

Directions: Glenn Hwy to Palmer, left on Palmer-Fishook or "Hatcher Pass Rd." drive all the way to the uppermost parking area. I think it is a $5 fee area or State Park Pass. Allow 1.5 to 2 hours travel time from Anchorage.

    Phone numbers:
    Frank McGuire 677-9486
    Lisa McGuire 952-7486

Cabin is located at 5100 W. Karsten Drive which is near MP 46 on the Parks Highway.
Usually takes about 5-6 hours of riding, with a 1 hour lunch break= 7 hrs
Bring lights, water and snacks. Be prepared for snow in the pass proper.

Frank do you take the Hassler-Noriss trails off of Fishhook to get to the cabin or are we riding the road? Trying to think if I need the studded Bud-lou or HuDu's tires for this ride. Thanks for putting this on!
