    Hobgoblin Transportation

How do you transport your Hobgoblin by car? Tray style? on the roof? more traditional bike rack? in your van or truck?

I'm less than impressed with my current racks (Saris Bones 2bike, and Allen Hitch mount 5 bike). With the top tube adapter, they both leave my wheels hanging way too close for comfort to the road.

I'm hesitant to move to a tray style rack because to move the whole family on bike, I need the 5 bike rack.

Anyway, I'm interested in ideas and pictures of your hobgoblin loaded up and ready for transport. Thanks in advance!

I have a 1-up roof tray and a Saris hitch mount. I've also transported my HGXO in the back of my car. I have a '97 and a '11 Subaru Impreza OBS for reference.

Yakima Hold-Up (https://www.yakima.com/holdup-2) hitch mount rack is the easiest way, as you don't have to take any wheels off or worry about low hanging branches, wires, or garage doors like you would a roof rack. But you do have to deal with your vehicle being extended a few more feet in the rear. That's how I generally carry mine if I am only carrying 2 bikes. I do also have a roof rack which has carried the HG but it's not as convenient IMHO.

    Hope that helps!
