... and if we just ... did you have to re-tape the your sunringle mulefut 50 rims?

I am going to make my Griffin rims tubeless. Should I remove the tape that came on the rim and re-tape it myself? Or did the factory installed tape work well? I posted this question on the wheel forum as well, so you may see it twice.

Well, I wish I would have retaped mine, I took a chance with the tape that was on there and have a small leak at the seam of the rim that shows up once every couple of weeks. I would also recommend (unless you are changing out tires) going twice around in the tape, as it would help when it comes to setting up the tires up onto the bead.

EDIT - it would also be a good time to add some color to the rims with a different color rim strip.

I would just tape over what's there. That worked for me on the front to get it to seal but I had to add two layers of regular 25mm tape on one side to get the rear to seat. After you add the wide tape pop the tube back in and mount the tire and let it sit a few hours to set the tape.
