I'm not sure a lot of folks have opinions. The Airborne of late is a different company with different bikes than the old Airborne mail-order budget-Ti bike company from 10yrs ago.

And that's as far as my knowledge/understanding of Airborne bikes goes.

Hey guys... Check out my sig and you'll see that I'm on the Flight Crew so I'll let you decide how to take this.
Airborne has been re-born as a new company with a new direction ( like no more Ti for instance). The bikes are very well thought out and designed with enthusiast, the "cash impaired" or the "quiver" type of rider who wants to try something different.
Great bunch of guys over there in Ohio who are passionate at what they do.
And NO they are NOT associated with RS anymore (thank god....)
Check them out when you get a chance.

    Overstock

Casey.... If your looking to buy a bike wait till October or December as the whole industry is carrying a lot over stock and their is going to be a lot smoking deals as everyone tries to unload the stuff.

Internet deals? Or local. The local stuff around here for my size and entry market is pretty thin on 2011 models. Thanks for all the info so far.

You sure? I can't speak for Airborne specifically, but stuff from a lot of brands was pretty thin on the ground when I was buying last month. As in 'wait till 2012, sold out all the way back to the manufacturer' thin.
