    Yari, Pike, X-Compatibility...??

    Calling suspension experts!!

Would the internals from a 2017-18 Pike (part that controls travel length) set at 140mm travel ...

...fit inside a 2019-20 Yari, allowing the Yari to go from 160mm travel to 140mm travel??

Just want part that reduces travel & wondering if the above would be feasible.

PS - from a bit of Googling, I can see part to reduce 160mm Yari to 150mm. I would like to reduce Yari to 140mm travel.

PSS - fyi, I also have 150mm air shaft for 2017-18 Pike.

    TIA

Yari and Lyrik have compatible parts. Pike and Revelation have compatible parts. I'm about to get a Debonair shaft for my A1 Yari.

As far as Iím aware, the pike/revelation parts are not cross compatible with the lyrik/yari parts.

The stanchion thickness is different between the two (the yari/lyrik chassis is thicker. And since they share the same external diameter, this means the inside must be smaller). This means the air shafts (parts that determine total travel) canít be moved from one to the other.

This was my understanding as well. Merely looking at the 35mm stanchions, I can see where it would be confusing but the Lyrik/Yari was designed to take a bit more abuse so is built a bit burlier. Since the outside diameter is the same, the extra material is on the inside.

I had a ~2016 Lyrik and bought a 2019 Yari and swapped my Avalanche damper over to the Yari, no issues. Same top-cap and foot-nut.
