Hey dudes,
Long time rider, first time builder. I'm looking for a good (used) 130-140mm fork to use on my Honzo steel build. I know I'll need 29er stanchions, boost spacing, tapered steering tube at least 6" long - but I'm not sure if there is anything else I should be looking for. I'm fairly familiar with the different fork offerings, I'm more concerned that I don't buy a used fork that won't work for my build. Any other pointers? Or am I overthinking this?

Just double checking that you needed 110mm Boost spacing.

Make sure it's at least 34mm stantions, 36mm if you're a clyde to minimize any flex would be perfect. A bit heavier but I'd say worth it, steel frame isn't a weight weenie !!

I've like Honzo's, no nonsense frames.

Such an arbitrary price limit is going to severely limit your options, leaving you with something that is compromise, rather than something that is among the better options that best suits your needs in the longer term:

Examples:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/RockShox-Y...te-15-x-100-Tapered-51mm-Offset/273537670363/

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rockshox-Revelation-RL-140mm-Solo-Air-29-Boost-Fork/223335253739

If these examples didn't interest you, that's a hint that you should reconsider your budget. $450 is a price point in which less demanding, more flexible/tolerant folks snap up bargains on quality 29er susp forks, so good luck shopping with such specific demands.
