    Specialized Hardrock Disc 29 help

    My bike had a striped right crakarn. all the 3 gears are riveted on. basicly one piece Here are my specs. CHAIN KMC X8, 8-speed, w/ reusable MissingLink
    BOTTOM BRACKET Square taper, cartridge bearings
    CRANKSET Samox, forged alloy, 3 pc., 8-speed, 42/32/22T, w/ chainguard
    FRONT DERAILLEUR Shimano Altus, 3-speed, top swing, dual pull
    SHIFT LEVERS Shimano ST-EF51, w/ integrated brake lever
    CASSETTE Sunrace, 8-speed, 11-34t
    REAR DERAILLEUR Shimano Altus, 8-speed

    Here is a link to a new one will it be compatible. I use the bike to ride on flat trails this is a low end one I know I am 58 and just ride for exercise. Shimano Altus FC-M311 Crankset W/Guard | Jenson USA.

    that will work for $21. Just make sure you get the same length arms as your current one (ex: 175mm)

    If you want to go spend more for a better crankset you certainly could bt upgrading to a shimano hollowtech bottom bracket and the newer stuff, but that altus will get you back on the bike. :-)

    for only $30, you could do the acera
    Shimano Acera FC-M361 Crankset | Jenson USA
    and it has replaceable chainrings if needed
