Should I spend the extra $100 and get the xt deore 2x10 crank over sram x7 2x10 crank

I posted this in shifters, derailluires and cransk, but theres not much love over there. Should i spend the extra $100 and get the xt deore 2x10 crank over the sram x7 crank

    Which one:

    $159
    SRAM S1400 X.7 Crank GXP 2.2 10 Speed 2011 at Price Point SRAC41\

    $269
Shimano M785 XT Crankset at Price Point

Plan on running X9 rear/front and x9 shifters. While it would be nice to save a $100 bucks, I got the cash and am willing to spend the $$$ if its worth it. Opinions please. Will be buying in the next week, please chime in with your thoughts.

I much prefer the way the Shimano cranks are put together. The GXP system is OK, but the choices for alternative BBs are even easier with the Shimano system. Go for the XTs if you have the moolah, X7/X9 if not.

If you are stuck on the big named stuff, then go with what you listed.

If you are "smart" about what you buy, the SLX crankset is a STEAL!

Shimano SLX FC-M66010 Dyna-Sys MTB Crank > Components > Drivetrain > Cranksets | Jenson USA Online Bike Shop

$129 and it is 10 speed (3x10). Get it then bashguard the third...

Yep. And you can price match this from pricepoint, and get it from Jenson for $119 shipped.

Oh, and you also already have this posted over in the drivetrain forum. You aren't spamming are you?
