Niner Boost RDO Fork Rack Dimensions?

    Hey all,

I'm not sure if anyone on this sub owns the Niner Carbon Boost RDO fork, but I want to use the Tubus Tara Lowrider rack on it. Tubus specifies that the outer width of the fork at the upper mounts has to be between 130-140mm. The lower mounts have to be between 124-134mm.

Anyone with this fork that can measure those dimensions?

    Thanks!

    Just spoke with Niner.

The Top and Mid Upper Eyelets are 150mm apart.

The lower eyelets are 158mm apart.

So, the Tubus is too small to fit? I have one of those forks, it's on a 853 Jamis steel frame, but its' a QR hub. Mostly it's a "townie" type bike that pedals well and it decently fast, but it's no rocket, that's for sure. But I 've got a BOB rear skewer on its' rear hub and an BOB Ibex trailer, that can haul a whole lotta groceries, and thanks to the cushy ride, I don't think I've ever even broken an egg.

Sorry, but this is all I got and it really wasn't very helpful. They're great forks though.

Yeah, I crushed my salsa firestarter deluxe by 0.5mm while facing the brake tabs (clamping tool at the co-op had a loose bolt), and am looking for a new fork. The Niner just looks to be of higher build quality. It's also cheaper than the FireStarter.

Maybe my shop will be able to participate in Salsa's replacement plan (discounted price).

This bike will be a super-commuter to get me up a 3 mile gravel climb to the burbs, plus trails, etc. I'm envious that the niner works for you!

    Another option..

Maybe a pannier rack that mounts at the crown and then use a roberts axle project front axle for the 2nd mount. Can you get a rando rack on there?

Unfortunately, there is no crown mount. And now that you mention it, it doesn't even have a fender mount at the crown Looks like I'm sticking with Salsa if I want to commute effectively in the PNW winters.
