Does chain line make noticeable difference?

My hardtail is an NS eccentric 29er, currently running Gx cranks but changing to a shimano drivetrain. I would like to be able to fit a 34 T ring instead of my 32T but clearance is tight.

My current chainline is 52 mm I noticed shimano make an SLX FC-M7120-1 which has a 55mm chainline instead of 52 so I may be able to fit a 34T

This changes Q factor from 172 to 178mm, will this be noticeable?

    Thanks

You won't likely notice the change in Q factor.

You're much more likely to notice that your chain drops off the large cog if you backpedal in the slightest. And it will get worse as your drivetrain wears.

Yeah. Not a huge deal IMO, but I do prefer a closer in chainline that favors the larger cogs, where I do most all my pedaling. I run non-boost ring/cranks on boost bikes. It is only 3mm diff.
    What, me worry?

That could be challenging finding a cassette geared to your preference.
