Axle to Crown Questions for Fork Swap

Hello all. Apologies if this has been asked before. I am a total noob when it comes to a lot of the geometry and specs.

I have been looking for a new fork for my bike. The bike is a Motobecane, size 21. I'll link to the bike and the geometry below if anyone is interested. I am not huge fan of the fork, mostly due to its weight and squishiness (Rock Shox XC30, 100mm travel coil fork). I have been looking into a rigid carbon fork. My main question is regarding the size of the fork.

I was emailing with bikeman to see if a 465mm axle to crown would be large enough to replace my current fork. Specs on my current fork are a little hard to find (maybe because it is an OEM model?).To my surprise, my axle to crown measurement came back at about 530mm.

Isn't this pretty long for a 100mm travel fork? I think I bought this bike at exactly the wrong time as far as tech goes. It has a straight headtube and QR axles. Are there any recommendations for a rigid carbon fork that won't completely mess up the geometry? Or, another suspension for for that matter that isn't too expensive (I know, it's relative!).

    TIA for any guidance!

Pretty sure your XC 30 100mm travel 29er fork is going to have a 500-510mm axle to crown height. You can verify by measuring from the lower headset cup to the center of the fork QR axle.

465mm is not going long enough. An air fork will allow for a stiffer spring rate & lower weight.
