I bought a carbon fork off Ebay a couple years ago for a bike project that's been ongoing for a number of years with a Kona frame.
So current plan is a coaster brake only just for tooling around. So not going with front brakes, I want to keep the forks clean looking, and want no brake mounts. I've looked but didn't seem to find any so I was thinking about removing the lug from my fork then refinishing the area.
Watching how carbon forks are made, looks like they're laid over a mold so seemingly the brake mounts are solid and shouldn't hurt anything to remove.
Any thoughts or suggestions on the mod or overall goal?
I am open to buying a new fork, and it doesn't have to be CF, just matte black and no rim/disc mounts.
