    2021 Fox 34 Grip2

Just saw this and am curious if we can retrofit the grip2 damper to recent fit4 forks. I would be very interested if so but see no info

Yep. No chassis changes with this move, so should be a drop-in deal.

Good info---may call my lbs to see what they know and if parts are available-----surprised there has not been a ton of chatter on this given all the normal fork talk and the good reviews generally of grip 2

That'd be tough because the top cap is a pretty different size (not sure where you'd find that 1mm of material) and you'd need to make new retainers for the bottom of the stanchion.

The GRIP2v2 is good, but worth the trouble of stripping out a completely fine Charger 2.1? I'm not so sure.

Now, sticking one in a MRP Ribbon or Revelation is a different story.

I currently have the GRIP damper and am wondering if upgrading to this will help with small bump sensitivity. I find the fork with the GRIP 1 damper is pretty harsh compared to other forks I've tried.

    ordered one

I just ordered a Fox 34 2021 GRIP 2 damper for my 2019 Fox 34 performance fork. Will report back after I trying it out.

I know I am months late responding to this, but I was working on my friend's bike a few weeks ago and his Fox 34 with the GRIP damper felt horrible. I took it apart and the air piston was coated in ridiculous amounts of grease. After cleaning and lightly greasing the air piston assembly it was a whole different fork. Not sure why it came from the factory that way, but I would check this on any Fox fork that was feeling harsh.

EDIT: I should clarify that this was a 2019 Fox 34, not the 2021.

    I have a 2021 Fox 34 Grip 2 in a 140mm.
    I LOVE IT!

BTW, don't expect to be able to tell the difference between various compression damping settings in your garage. It has to be ridden to tell the difference.

I just got my local bike shop to order it directly from Fox Canada.
