    YEAR END INVENTORY- 29er forum

As I look at my work schedule past Xmas and into next week, my company has arranged for my services for 3 out 4 days slotted for 'Year End Inventory'.......anyway it got me thinking as I logged onto MTBR 29er forum:

    1) Whats in the Stable, now? what were you riding prior? and what if any pending additions for 2012.

    ***Before- Pivot 429 XT Build

***Now.....-2011 Turner Sultan XL- Black: Marzocchi 44Ti, XT/X9/XX, American Classic MTB tubeless wheelset,Hope, Spec. Captain's...etc

**** 2010 Giant XTC2, stock build except Joplin post, saddle and tires, shorty 70mm stem and 740mm bars(not shown)(Ignitor and Karma)

Others: Wife's 1999 Specialized FSR 26er and Sons' Scott Scale Jr. 24" (almost all wheel sizes represented!)

***additions pending....tires, tires, and more tires

    2) How is our 29er forum doing?

Good, but I would like to read more Ride reports and comparisons on different 29ers

    3) What improvements can we make for 2012?

-I would suggest a few more 'Stickies' at the top of the forum, to minimize lots of same question posts.....like which is the best sub-$1000...etc...

-reduce the number of posts Davidcooperfield is allowed to post just for disinformation reasons

    For 2012:

    1. Purchase an American Classic Race 29er wheelset. I currently have the American Classic Tubeless 29er wheelset and the Race version will be just as good but even lighter.

    2. Hopefully, replace my Reba RLT with a SID XX World Cup.

The fork will cost a bit more than the new wheels but the plan is to get the wheelset as soon as available (end of January per the AC website) and then get the fork in the spring, before racing season gets too far underway.

I'm up to 3 29ers in the stable. A rx29er fs bike, an access 29 er hard tail geared bike, and a 29er singular swift single speed hard tail... About where I was last year, and about the right number of bikes for me.

I also have one 26 er left, my old beater Yukon converted to city bike duties, and a planet x kaffenbak cx/touring bike

    Current inventory includes:

Trusty 06 stumpjumper s-works that I never ride anymore. I am in the process of making it more into a light all mountain bike with 650b front instead of the long travel xc setup I had it at.

Titus racer x 29er that I ride all the time. Love the bike. only thing I really dislike about it is the stand-over compared to my stumpy.

Azonic steelhead for the bmx track with my nephew.

A cx cannondale and my road bike, of course I have 5 or 6 other bikes in the family I maintain.

Only real plans for the next year is perhaps a downhill bike and maybe a new 29er frame if I can figure one that fits the bill better than my racerx.
