    What wheelset?

I have no problem admiting to be a novice when it comes to new tubeless mtn bike wheels, 29" setups, and such even though I have been riding (mostly road style) over 30 years. I'm putting together a Niner M.C.R. and will probably go with one of their carbon forks - maybe a Reba. Got the Avid BB7s ready to go. Switching over my XT rapid rise drivetrain and all the other stuff is Thomson. Question on wheels - Kings and Stans are probably not in my budgets so what would be a good tubeless setup for around 400 to 450 a set? Gonzo rides and hike and bike are days long ago and I see myself on gentle / XC type trails. Talk to me.

    whats your weight?

for that price look into the Stans rims with their Stans hubs...nice wheels for the money. Shimano XT are also nice for that range

    size matters

Depending on beer consumption and activity level - 6'2" and 190 to 200 lbs.

Hope Pro 2 hubs laced to Stans Flow 29 hoops.
most tires will mount up easy as pie if you watch the Stans video
-dependable and durable while remaining light and cost effective.

You can easily roll a Stan's Arch wheelset at your weight and your riding style.
