What do I need for 1x10?

Im building up a 29er ht and want to go with a 1x10 setup.
What would be the most cost effective way of going that route?
Im buying all the pcs new so any guidance would be great.
32t up front and 11-36 outback is all thats set in stone right now.

I use the e-thirteen xcx chainguide on my 1x bikes. Very simple, lightweight and durable.

Add to that an X.0 short cage 10-speed rear derailleur for the best fit and finish.

The e13 xcx looks pretty nice. Will that work with my truvativ gxp bb? Also is it necessary to run that or can you run it with just the 32t upfront?
Also can you puta 10spd cassette on a regular 9spd wheelset?
Nnice that the short cage works for this

It will work with that bb. It mounts like a spacer would, between the bb cup and the frame. It has adjustable height. Your 32 tooth will work although I think that is the lowest setting. Yes, a 10 speed cassette will work on your wheel. I'd research whether or not a short cage derailleur will work for your cassette. I'm not certain that it will work with a 36 tooth cog... maybe it does. My mid-cage x-9 is about maxed out on a 34 (9 speed).
