    Turning Out My Evil Wreckoning

    Whoo! First post!

So, I had been in the market for a FS bike for awhile. I am coming from my Trek X-Cal8 HT. The hardtail is a good sturdy bike but it just can't go on many of the trails in Colorado that I want to go on.

    -CORRECTION-

It CAN and it DID go on those trails, it was just really slow going and pretty exhausting. I bought the X-Cal new in May and swapped in a RaceFace 30T single speed chainring, 11-40T 10sp cassette, new Shimano XT M8000 GS 11sp derailleur (limited to 10sp), new Maxxis Minion DHF tires, and bigger 180mm IceTech rotors, and a bunch of other goodies.

During my research phase, I demoed an Evil Following. I naturally assumed Jesus was telling me something, when I actually wrecked the bike in Winter Park, CO.

    -MESSAGE RECIEVED-

So I decided on an Evil Wreckoning in Fallout Green. Last week, I went to my favorite LBS: C3 Bikes in Golden, CO where Wade gave me the standard sale price of the frame ($1,899 sans the $100 spent for the demo fee). As part of another bit awesomeness, he also hooked me up with a Fox 36 Float 29 FIT4 fork with Kashima coating (not that it really makes a difference in my opinion) and RaceFace Turbine-R35 stem for what I will call a smoking great deal!

Below is a list of stuff I plan on throwing on. This is my winter build project and I think it's fair to assume that most, if not all, components are subject to availability and, of course, sale prices!

Congrats. I also bought a fallout green wreck frame last week. As for the brakes if you are going to do a lot of downhill shredding I would go with 203mm rotors front and back. The Wreck is a burly bike so more stopping power doesn't hurt.

You can go larger diameter disc rotors if you wanted to, like 255mm

The frame came in on Friday.

Already have the Fox Float 36, RaceFace Turbine-R35 stem and Reverb dropper on. I was planning on a PNW Components Bachelor post but Iíll be damned if I didnít get an awesome deal on the reverb!

Also just tossed on the SRAM Dub BB.
