    Trail 29ers for $2-3.5k?

Iím considering upgrading my bike especially if I can get a good deal on a close out.

Wish list would be something that pedals great, with modern geo, light (~30lbs), with decent wheels especially if in my upper price range.

    Any suggestions?

I second on the Rocky mountain pipeline. That was the best bike I've ridden so far!

2019 Scott Spark 920 has room this year for 2.6 x 29 tires. So no 2018. 27.78 lbs, with 120 travel. 3989 before negotiating 20 off.

Looks like some good options. Would love to demo a couple of them, especially the Tallboy and Stumpy. Fixing my current trail bike was less than expected, so I'll probably keep it for another year or so, unless I find a deal too good to pass up.

The Rocky Mountain Pipeline is a 27.5+ bike. Its brother is the Instict, which is the same frame with 29" wheels. Maybe the reason you thought it was the best bike you've ridden is that it wasn't a 29er.

Devinci Django 29 carbon (closer to the 30 pounds, alum is over that) but its climbs/pedals so well you don't notice the extra pound or two.

When it comes to bang for your buck, Fezzari is hard to beat these days.

Small ring in front makes it easier. Small ring in back makes it harder. That blows my mind.

FYI you can get 0% for 12mo at Trek dealers... And it doesn't have to be used towards a Trek.

    What new Jeffsy?
AFAIK there was no leaks, rumors, etc about new JEffsy. FPeople talk on the forum and say "it's time" ... But, that does not mean much... I agree, it's time for Jeffsy, or for YT hardtail

No, I own both a 27.5 and 29 and I've ridden multiple bikes in the last few years.
